Exercising with (Chinese) hand massage balls

Our hand training collection contains specific exercises and techniques for musicians – from beginner to advanced – and for non-musicians. The collection comprises both videos and text descriptions of the exercises.

The VIDEO gives you impressions on some of the exercises

Overview: structure of the mini-subscription

The exercises are divided into five sections, each of which has a different focus.

  • Section A: rotating the balls in the upward-facing palm of the hand; three levels of difficulty.
  • Section B: tracing straight and diagonal lines in the upward-facing palm of the hand; four levels of difficulty.
  • Section C: combining circles, straight and diagonal lines in the upward-facing palms of both hands simultaneously.
  • Section D: rolling the balls with one finger, between the fingers or between a finger and a suitable surface while the palm of the hand is facing downward; three levels of difficulty.
  • Section E is an extension of the previous exercises. By adding an easy-to-make accessory, you can further improve the flexibility of your fingers. This is particularly beneficial for instrumentalists. We also offer ideas for tailoring the exercises to different instrument groups based on the way these instruments are held.
