Resounding Bow - Bow attachment
Relaxed bow hold
The bow attachment was developed for violin, viola and cello. It is an attachment that is simply placed on the bow. It can be used for ‘normal’ practising without any further adaptation. Each attachment is unique and is moulded by hand.
- The bow hand experiences a new grip feeling, which is retained afterwards even without an attachment.
- The flexible noduls absorb the movements of the fingers and thus contribute to more conscious gripping.
- Arm, bow hand and fingers relax when practising.
- You can simply practise ‘normally’ with it, without complex adjustments or compromises.
It is used during normal practice. The attachment is simply put on and practised with until it is ‘enough’. You will notice when you have had enough. Ideally, you should use it regularly, e.g. a few minutes a day. But even using it once a week in lessons (if you don't have your own attachment) contributes significantly to a more differentiated bowing technique.
Everything about the bow attachment
There are different moulds in different sizes. Each bow attachment is moulded by hand. As the dimensions of the bows in an instrument group can vary, the bow attachment is designed in such a way that it can be flexibly adapted to the necessary points within a given framework. Below you finde a user guide and information about how to fit the attachment on your bow.
How to fit on your bow
It's very simple: The frog screw is inserted through the ring at the end of the attachment, the attachment is pulled forwards towards the tip until the ring touches the wood of the bow frog. Now the front ring (usually) is inserted above the (silver) winding. The bow stick then disappears between the two long sides of the attachment.
Dear customer,
Today you are holding your hand-moulded bow attachment Resounding Bow in your hands. To give you the best possible start, please read the following instructions first. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.
Storing the bow attachment
Protect your bow attachment: keep it dust-free and protect it from direct sunlight or UV radiation; the darker the better! The material reacts to UV radiation and hardens more quickly if it is not protected.
Fitting
Fitting is very simple. The bow attachment is simply placed on top. We have described how to do this skilfully here.
Cleaning the bow attachment
The bow attachment becomes dirty through use with our hands (hand perspiration). Clean it regularly with clean water. Do not use aggressive detergents or cleaning agents and avoid contact with solvents and similar substances. You can always use a mild hand soap. You can leave it to air dry or dab it with a lint-free cloth. Do not place it on a radiator or use a hairdryer or similar.
Important notes
Only use the item for its intended purpose and keep it away from small children. Avoid placing too much pressure on the material by bending, stretching or using not acceptable cleaning agents (only mild hand soap is recommended). Avoid to store it in direct sun or UV radiation and don't use a hairdryer or similar. This can damage your bow attachment.

What is special about the Resounding Bow
Gripping aids normally restrict something: this one does not!
A special feature of the bow attachment is that - unlike ‘grip aids’ - it does not restrict or limit movement. On the contrary: it increases mobility while simultaneously increasing grip strength. The activity of the fingers is encouraged while at the same time improving the grip contact between the fingers and the bow. This is not only due to the shape and the idea of the knobs, but also to the material. That's why every part is moulded, finished and, if necessary, reworked by hand.
