The Songs

This edition contains a total of 109 songs for children. 76 of these are songs from other countries, presented in their original languages.

The Donkey-Tasks

A few Donkey-Tasks complement the learning content: these allow students to consolidate what they have learnt or get creative themselves.

Resources and materials for teachers

There is an accompanying teacher’s booklet available as a practical, interactive PDF eBook. Its more than 170 pages include translations, adaptations or summaries of the song lyrics, information on the songs’ origins and languages, as well as violin accompaniment parts for two-part songs. Who is the Tuneful booklet for?

Essentially, it is designed for beginners learning the violin. It is recommended that pupils have already worked through (parts of) Volume 1 of Tuneful from day one. However, depending on their individual circumstances and prior knowledge, they may also start directly with this edition. Teachers can view the teaching materials free of charge.
