About the arm vibrato collection: Vibrato exercises violin and viola
The booklet contains exercises and practice ideas for beginners and advanced students. Some exercises are also performed without an instrument and serve as preparation. There are also exercises with and without a bow.“ All levels“ refers to the fact that exercises can be introduced directly in the first lessons and others are so challenging that advanced learners are challenged at all levels. The collection takes into account that continuous further development must always be possible.
The focus of the collection is on improving the independence between right and left arm vibrato so that everyone can consciously use and shape the vibrato. This also in connection with legato, changes of position etc. Another focus is on finger pressure. In addition to the actual goal of improving vibrato, many exercises also promote other playing techniques and basic coordination. Overall, the booklet is probably the only collection ever dedicated to the subject of arm vibrato and offers a variety of approaches to exercises. Many of the practice ideas are also the basis for other types of vibrato and can also be transferred to these.
