Arm vibrato violin and viola
This mini subscription contains what is probably the only collection of exercises for arm vibrato on the violin and viola. It is based on the booklet Armvibrato (ISBN 978-3-00-068280-3) by Erdmute Maria Hohage. The mini subscription consists of a total of 39 exercise ideas with approx. 100 variations. The core of the exercises is learning and perfecting the arm vibrato, which is related to the following instrumental aspects, among others:
- Finger pressure
- Basic coordination
- Independence between right and left hand
- Legato
- Change of hand position also in combination with legato
- Double grip vibrato technique
Speciality: Finger vibrato
For a well-executed and melodious arm vibrato, a certain degree of flexibility in the finger joints is required, which is also a basis for finger vibrato. This collection offers several exercises on how to improve flexibility directly in connection with vibrato. Have a closer look into the topics and exercises here.
Optional and helpful
You will also learn how to perform the exercises with the fingerboard attachment Resounding Fingerboard. Learn more about the subject vibrato on our topic page.
