The booklet offers a 12-page warm-up in 4 steps to improve coordination through rhythm on several levels:
The warm-up is fundamentally suitable for all ability levels of violin and viola players and can be introduced, e.g. with a few simplifications, in the initial lessons. The level of difficulty increases from step to step as well as through the choice of rhythms and fingering combinations. It is therefore also very demanding for advanced students and can be designed to suit everyone at all levels.
The basis of the warm-up is the two-part left-hand pizzicato as a practicing technique (LHP) and demonstrates how a single exercise (No. 12) can be turned into an effective warm-up. No prior knowledge of LHP is required to do this warm-up!
Just a few minutes a day!
Instrument and bow are required. Suitable rhythms are illustrated in the booklet and can always be supplemented/replaced with your own. If required, you can access further collections of rhythms via a QR code.
