A supplement to almost every piano school

The practice ideas in this mini-subscription offer beginners on the piano the opportunity to build up rhythmic stability and more advanced players the chance to develop this further and increasingly build up improved independence between right and left. The aim is to create a three-part independence in which the feet are understood as an independent rhythmic level and in which the language and the whole body are also involved. Depending on your needs, you can start with one or two voices. There are exercises that are performed with and without an instrument, that „only“ use rhythms and that are done specifically on pieces or phrases. The following are integrated:

  • arms/hands
  • legs/feet
  • language
  • rhythms
  • melodies/phrases/pieces

Scope of the subscription

The mini subscription consists of a total of 12 lessons with approx. 47 variations and steps with >40 videos showing the exercises. The exercises complement almost every piano school across all methods. They can be practised systematically one after the other or can also be used topic-related.

Piano exercises for beginners of all ages

The age of the players doesn’t really matter. Both children and adults can do these exercises. However, children who do not yet have their feet on the ground when playing cannot yet benefit from all the exercises, unless they have a footstool.

Type and use of exercises

Whether as stand-alone exercises or as a supplement to other methods, they are suitable for flexible use and can be adapted to individual progress. The ideas are based on rhythms, but can also be transferred to melodies, pieces or phrases at any time. Examples are shown. Advanced students can be encouraged just as much as beginners through a customised selection of rhythms. Almost every exercise/variation is linked to a video for clarification.

Prerequisites

There is no special requirement. It can be started in the first piano lesson as well as at any later time.

  • You will need: Piano, 1-, 2- and 3-part rhythms.
  • CAN, BUT NOT HAVE TO: Some variations/exercises show how to proceed particularly effectively. For this purpose, foot massage rollers are used for the foot work. However, these are optional! Alternatively, the exercises can also be performed without them and will also produce results.

Ideal for learning the piano online
